Andrea Paciotto is a director who is responsible for the creation and development of theatrical and cultural projects in the international field. He began to study theater as an actor, at the School of the University Theater Center of Perugia and at the Fondazione Pontedera Teatro. After working as an actor and performer in Italy and abroad, with directors such as Ellen Sterwart, Andrei Seban, Jerzy Sthur, Luca Ronconi, Giorgio Pressburger, and others, in 1994 chose to focus on directing. He continued his studies in the United States, where he received a degree in Theatre (BA) and a Masters in Directing (MFA) from the City University of New York. Later, he was selected for a two-year research project at the center DasArts, Advance Reasearch Center in Theatre and Dance, University of Amsterdam, the application of new technologies in the field of live performance.

His international experience started very early, thanks to a meeting with Ellen Stewart, founder and artistic director of La MaMa Theatre in New York, where she was born a collaboration that continued for the past twenty years. In Europe, Andrea has worked with several theaters and organizations, producing and presenting its work in Italy, Holland, Germany, Austria, Turkey, Serbia, Switzerland, Poland, Bosnia Herzegovina and Macedonia. In Italy his directions were presented, among others, the International Festival of Theatre de La Biennale di Venezia, Mittelfest of Cividale del Friuli, Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. Andrea has also lived and worked in Mexico, working with various cultural institutions and independent groups, in projects ranging from theatrical performances, multimedia events large and shows works by artists of local indigenous communities.

And 'member of the Committee for Training and Education International Theatre Institute (ITI-UNESCO). As a teacher, has taught courses at various levels and specialization, on various aspects of theater and multimedia in Italy and abroad at La MaMa in New York and Spoleto, Viterbo University Theatre Center, the Center for Advance Research DasArts Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam, the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Maastricht, the Escuela Nacional de Danza in Mexico City, the University of the Arts and the Belgrade National Theatre of Belgrade and Banja Luka.

After ten years working abroad, since 2004 Andrea has returned to live in Italy and founded in Spoleto OFFUCINA ECLECTIC ARTS, an organization that is dedicated to the design, production and presentation of artworks in the field of performing arts, audiovisual productions and multidisciplinary video art design.
